ATC has stayed open during this difficult time, supplying essential goods and services to our customers in Ireland and the UK. As the Covid Response Officer, I worked closely with the management team to develop and implement the ATC plan. Extensive training, comprehensive procedures and rigorous cleaning protocols are all in place to keep everyone physically safe and healthy.
But it’s not just physical safety that our company has been concerned about. They recognise the importance of our mental health too as we all face these new challenges together. ATC has had a great line of open communication with all staff, clearly explaining new procedures and providing a process map, putting minds at ease if time needs to be taken off. An investment in technology has allowed greater flexibility for staff to work from home ensuring vulnerable family members can be provided for. These measures have lifted a weight from people’s shoulders and have given clarity to everyone.
ATC also provided some much needed relief for everyone this weekend too. In recognition not just of everyone’s hard work, but also the need for a little levity for our mental health, the company provided all staff and their families with a takeaway of their choice. For me, this worked out perfectly as my brother and I enjoyed the first live Strictly dances on Saturday night with an amazing Indian feast! This was such a generous token of appreciation and I know my colleagues and their families enjoyed it as much as I did.
We ARE all in this together and it’s great to work for a company who priorities our wellness and wellbeing. So thank you to the Directors, Managers and all my co-workers at ATC; it is our actions both in and outside of work which has kept us all safe.
